Terms of Service

The service

VideoTextRemove removes text, captions, subtitles and similar overlays from video files you upload, using third-party AI processing. The service is provided on an as-is basis; results vary with the footage, and we do not guarantee that every character will be removed without trace.

Accounts

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. One person, one account — sharing credentials to circumvent credit limits is a breach of these terms.

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) and legally able to enter into a contract.

Credits and billing

Processing is paid for by the minute of video. One minute of standard-quality erase uses one minute of your balance, rounded up to the next whole minute; the Pro erase mode uses eight minutes of balance per minute of video. Minutes included with a subscription are granted at the start of each billing period, and annual plans grant the full year upfront. Unused subscription minutes do not roll over. Minutes bought as a one-time pack never expire.

Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes, which are calculated at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Acceptable use

You may only upload video you own or have explicit permission to edit. Removing watermarks, credits or attribution from content you do not own is prohibited, as is using the service to facilitate copyright infringement, fraud, harassment or the creation of unlawful material.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these rules, without refund where the breach is deliberate.

Your content

You keep all rights to the videos you upload and the results you generate. You grant us a limited licence to store, transmit and process that content solely to provide the service — including sending it to our processing sub-processor.

We do not use your videos to train models, and we do not publish them.

Our content

The site, its design, copy and code are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the service itself. Scraping the site or reselling access to the API without a Business plan is prohibited.

Availability and liability

We aim for high availability but do not offer a service level agreement on self-serve plans. Processing times depend on queue load and video length. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue or lost footage — always keep your original files.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, present a security risk, or remain unpaid. On termination, unused credits lapse unless the termination was our fault, in which case we refund the unused balance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
