Text watermarks versus logo marks
A text watermark — a handle, a URL, a name — behaves like any other burned-in text. Draw a box around it, and the model reconstructs what was underneath.
A graphic logo is a different problem. Solid shapes with sharp edges and transparency are harder to reconstruct convincingly, and results vary a lot with the background. Check a short preview before committing a long clip.
What counts as legitimate use
You own the footage, or you have written permission from whoever does. The watermark was applied by you or by a tool you used, and you are not removing attribution that a licence requires you to keep.
If a stock library or a client contract requires the mark to stay, removing it is a licence breach even if the file is technically yours. We would rather lose the sale than host that.
- Allowed: your own handle, your own draft watermark, a client mark you were asked to remove
- Not allowed: another creator’s watermark, stock preview marks, attribution required by licence
- Repeat violations: account termination without refund
Frequently asked questions
Can I remove a watermark from a video I did not create?+
No. That is a copyright and licence issue regardless of the tool used, and it is explicitly prohibited in our acceptable use policy.
Can it remove a moving watermark?+
A moving watermark needs a fixed selection box that covers its full travel path, which means a large area gets reconstructed. Quality drops as the selected area grows.
Will the removal be invisible?+
On simple backgrounds, usually yes. On detailed or fast-moving backgrounds, expect some softness in the repaired area. Always review in motion before publishing.
Do you keep my video after processing?+
Files are deleted seven days after upload. You can delete a job earlier from your dashboard, which removes both the source and the result immediately.
